    At a price to sell ? Otherwise they sit for there for months and undermine the credibility of the garage selling them.

    I would have thought the value you bring to a seller , is understanding the market and advising clients of an achievable sell price. Allowing them to get sucked into silly prices made up from jokers in the market place and not correcting them, surely leaves you with an uncomfortable conversation to reset expectations down the line ?

    Which is what we advise them. We give our best estimate of what the price should be in all instances but ultimately if someone wants to sell for a different price we respect that decision for a set period.

    Its not an uncomfortable conversation at all down the line if the price does need adjusting as its normally a price we suggested in the first place.

    If the seller doesn't want to do that then we have a lovely large storage facility they are welcome to submit there car into instead

    With regards to this particular car, yes we felt it was a little on the high side initially and its now down closer to where we originally advised.

    I appreciate the honest feedback though and will discuss it with the director. Perhaps we should be a bit firmer with customers and turn away cars where the owners wish to price them too high.

    Isn't this just a matter of, this is my car and this is how much I'm willing to part with it for? The whole market is bullshit, but others are swapping these rust boxes for big bundles of cash, so why wouldn't he! Rare rust, common rust, it's all the same :-)
    Certain cars are labelled with certain price tags, who are we to say whether they fit or not :-/
    Servicing special cars with the care and attention you deserve.
